Connect ChatGPT with MCP
Now that MCP is enabled on your telecrm workspace and your access token is ready, it's time to connect it all to ChatGPT.
Once ChatGPT is connected, you can simply open a chat and ask questions about your leads, calls, and campaigns in plain English and get answers pulled straight from your live workspace data.
In this video, we'll walk you through adding telecrm as a custom connector inside ChatGPT and then trying it out with a few real query prompts.
Steps to connect ChatGPT with MCP
- Post-MCP Activation process, move on to the MCP page. The wizard now shows your server URL, which looks like
https://mcp.telecrm.in/<your-enterprise-id>/mcp. Copy it using the Copy button. - Go to ChatGPT and sign in.
- Click on the Plugins Option on the Side Nav bar.
- A Create app button appears at the top-right of the same page. Click it.
- In the New App dialog, fill in a Name (for example, "telecrm mcp"), paste your telecrm server URL into the MCP Server URL field, and leave Authentication as OAuth. Tick the "I understand" risk acknowledgement and click Create.
- A new browser tab opens with the same telecrm authorization page Claude uses. Paste your MCP access token and click Allow Access. The app now appears in your ChatGPT Apps list and is live.
Live Testing with query prompts
- Open a new conversation in Claude or ChatGPT and ask something like "How quickly are the new incoming leads being called by Shubhra?" or "Compare my Facebook and Google Ad campaigns".
- The AI will start reading the query and generate the relevant output from your connected Workspace data.
And that's all you need to understand to connect ChatGPT with your telecrm workspace.
From here, your data is just a question away. A quick tip: the more specific your prompt, the sharper the answer. Now go ahead — open a new chat and start asking your CRM anything.
