Introduction to MCP
Every day, your team runs on reports. How many calls did we make today? What's the total talk time? How many leads are still sitting untouched? How do our converted leads break down across different campaigns and sources?
All of this is already visible in telecrm's Call and Leads reports — and these go-to reports show up right on the login dashboards of your managers, admins, and even individual callers who want to track their own numbers in real time. That part is easy and convenient.
AI Reporting in telecrm
Creating a dynamic report with multiple parameters in a single prompt is easy to generate.
This is where telecrm gives you another option: AI Reports via MCP. You can connect any of your AI providers — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Grok — directly to your workspace. Instead of manually applying filter after filter inside telecrm, you simply give a few prompts, and your AI assistant pulls the results for you. It saves you all that setup time and answers deeper questions in plain English.
For example, how many callers failed to make that first call within the initial 30 minutes of a lead coming in this week? Or: build me a comparison between Google Ads and Facebook lead forms, and show which source is giving more relevant leads based on my own specific filters.
These are the kinds of deeper, custom questions that would normally take a lot of manual digging — and MCP lets you just ask.
What MCP can and can't do
Today, MCP is read-only.
Your assistant can search and filter your leads, pull up a specific lead with its full history, look through the actions on a lead, list your team members, stages, custom fields, and custom actions, and summarise your pipeline in plain English.
What it can't do yet is create, edit, or delete data, make calls or send messages, or pull data across more than one workspace — each connection is tied to a single workspace.
Is my data Safe?
Because this is your customer data, privacy is built in.
Your access token never leaves the telecrm server — your AI client only holds a session that means nothing on its own. Every phone number and email address, including any custom PHONE or EMAIL fields, comes back as "redacted", so your customers' contact details never enter an AI conversation.
And you stay fully in control — you can disconnect anytime, either from your AI client or by revoking the token in telecrm, which instantly cuts off every client using it.
Key Takeaways
- MCP is included in your existing telecrm plan at no extra cost — you only bring your own AI subscription. Your whole team can connect, each with their own token. And if you run multiple workspaces, you can connect them side by side as separate tools.
- Access to your own AI credentials is crucial to utilize MCP Reporting.
- Ensure that the individual email ID is added as a pro user in telecrm Workspace for individual member access.
In the next video, we'll show you how to set it up step by step.
