Integrating with Maqsam IVR
If your team uses Maqsam for cloud telephony, this integration connects it with telecrm — so all your calling runs right from your CRM, and every call flows back into it on its own.
Once it's set up, your agents can call leads directly from telecrm with no manual dialing, receive inbound IVR calls routed to the right person, and have every call — inbound, outbound, or missed — logged straight onto the correct lead, along with its duration, outcome, agent details, and timestamps. You can even create new leads from unknown incoming callers, so no enquiry gets missed.
Section 1 — Gather Your Maqsam Credentials
- Before you start, log in to your Maqsam dashboard and go to Settings, the API section, or Developer Credentials. From there, collect these details:
- Access Key ID — the unique identifier for your Maqsam account.
- Access Secret
- Agent Maqsam Number — the phone number assigned to each Maqsam agent.
- Agent Maqsam Email — the email registered for each Maqsam agent.
- Keep these credentials safe and don't share them outside your admin team.
Section 2 — Start the Integration in telecrm
- Open the telecrm web app and log in with your admin credentials. Go to Integrations on the side navigation bar and search Maqsam
- Click the Activate Now option to open the configuration page.
- Paste your Access Key ID and Access Secret into their respective fields.
- Once both are entered, click Next to open the team-member mapping screen.
Section 3 — Add and Map Your Agents
- Now map your telecrm users to their Maqsam agent profiles. Click Add Member, choose the telecrm user from the dropdown, then enter that agent's Maqsam number and Maqsam email ID.
- If any agents use physical SIM cards instead of the Maqsam app or web client, enable SIM Calling for those users. Now click on Add.
- Important: Make sure you add all your calling agents — calls won't sync for anyone left unmapped — and that each email matches the Maqsam records exactly, since email matching is case-sensitive.
- Click on Next after adding the user details.
- If you want telecrm to automatically create a lead whenever an unknown number contacts your IVR, enable "Create Lead on Incoming Call" — so no inbound enquiry goes untracked. Skip this if you only want call logging for existing leads.
Section 5 — Copy the Webhook URL and Save
- telecrm will now generate a unique Webhook URL. Copy it carefully — Maqsam uses this to push Call Data Records (CDR) and sync inbound, outbound, answered, and missed calls into telecrm automatically. This URL is workspace-specific, so don't use it for other integrations.
- Click Save. The integration is now active on the telecrm side — outbound calling works immediately, but call logs will only start syncing once the webhook is set up by the Maqsam team.
- Share the copied Webhook URL with your Maqsam support team or account manager, and ask them to configure the webhook for after-call and call-hangup events — covering answered, missed, inbound, and outbound calls.
Section 6 — Verify the Integration
- To verify, make a test call using a mapped Maqsam agent, then open telecrm and go to the lead timeline. Within a few seconds of the call ending, you should see the call logs, call duration, call recording agent details, call outcome, and timestamps synced automatically.
And that's all you need to understand to integrate your Maqsam IVR account.
- Once everything's in place, your team has a complete calling setup running through telecrm — with every conversation tracked, logged, and ready whenever you need it.
