Bulk Upload Tasks
You've just migrated your old lead data into telecrm — names, contact numbers, email IDs, and most importantly — scheduled follow-up dates and times.
But here's the concern —
What about all those follow-ups that were already planned?
That could take hours. And in that time — follow-ups get missed. Leads go cold.
Or maybe you've just uploaded a fresh batch of leads and want to assign call follow-up tasks to all of them in one go — for a future date, without sitting and creating each task manually.
Either way — telecrm has you covered.
With the Bulk Task Upload feature, you can upload all your tasks in one shot — Call Follow-ups, Meetings, Reminders, or any task type.
In this video, we'll walk you through exactly how to Bulk Upload Tasks in telecrm.
SECTION 1: Pre-Requisites — Getting the Excel Format Right
Before we upload any file, let's first understand the correct Excel format needed for a smooth, error-free upload.
1. Right Excel Sheet Format
Go to the Call Follow Ups page in telecrm and click on Bulk Upload Tasks. Download the Sample Sheet to see the exact format required.
The sample sheet has the following columns: Task Name, Phone, Email, Deadline, Task Description, and Priority. Make sure your file follows this exact structure before uploading.
2. Right Lead Details
When filling in the sheet, the Task Name column should have the lead's name, the Phone column should have the lead's contact number, and the Email column should have the Assignee's email ID.
Please note — Name and phone details, not the assignee's name or contact number. Email will be the Assignee's Email to whom the tasks have to be assigned. Don't mix these up.
3. Future Task & Follow-Up Dates
All followup dates and times in the sheet must be future dates. For example, if you are uploading the file on 20th April at 12:00 PM, then every task deadline must be set for a date and time after this. If any date is set for 20th April at 11:00 AM or 19th April, those tasks will not be applied.
SECTION 2: Steps to Upload the Task File
Now that the file is ready, let's go ahead and upload it.
1. Go to the Call Follow Ups page and click on Bulk Upload Tasks.
2. Click on Upload File and select the correct Excel file from your system.
3. Once uploaded, it's time to map the task fields. This is where you tell telecrm which column in your sheet corresponds to which task detail.
4. First, select the Task Type. Tasks can be a Call Follow Up, To Do, Meeting, or any other custom task type created in your system. For this example, we are mapping a call follow-up.
5. On the next step, select and map the Unique ID for the leads.
6. Now map the remaining fields — Task Name with the lead's name, Contact Number, Task Assignee Email, and any other relevant fields. Make sure each column is mapped correctly.
7. Once everything is mapped, click on Create Tasks.
8. You will be redirected to the Bulk Upload Tasks section on the Report Downloads page. The status will initially show as Pending. Refresh the page after a moment, and the status will update to Completed, which means all your tasks have been successfully applied.
9. Let's confirm. Go back to the Call Follow Ups page. Since we assigned tasks to Aryan Chaudhary, let's filter by his name — and there it is. All 3 tasks are now applied with the correct description, deadline, and priority as defined in the sheet.
And that's all it takes to Bulk Upload Tasks in telecrm.
Whether you're migrating old follow-up data or assigning tasks to a fresh batch of leads, get your Excel sheet ready, upload it, map the fields, and you're done.
No manual task creation. No missed follow-ups.
Upload once — and your entire team is ready to act.
