Role Specific Custom Dashboard
Different roles, different priorities. A caller wants today's leads and follow-ups. A manager wants the team's full picture.
So why show everyone the same dashboard?
In this video, you'll learn how to set up a role-specific home dashboard in telecrm — so the moment your team logs in, they see exactly what matters to them. We'll use the Default Caller role as our example, but it works the same for any role.
Let's dive in.
Steps to Configure a Default Custom Dashboard for User Roles in telecrm
- Open the Settings section and click on Permission Templates.
- Click on the Edit option for the user role permission template you want to configure. For this guide, we'll use the Default Caller role as an example.
- Click on the View option from the top navigation bar.
- Click on the Dashboard option.
- Enable the Default Dashboard access option. This allows users under this role to access the configured dashboard layout.
- To remove any default widget from caller visibility, click on the "Minus (–)" icon at the top of that widget. This helps keep the dashboard view simple.
- To add a widget, click on the "Add Widget" option.
- You can add up to 6 widgets at a time. Select the widgets based on the operational requirements of the user role.
- To add a custom widget, you first need to create a filter condition:
- Navigate to the All Leads page.
- Click on the Create New View icon on the top-left side.
- Click on Add a Condition.
- Select the required filter conditions. For example, to build a widget for today's new leads, click on the Created On condition and set the date range to "Today".
- Matching leads will automatically appear based on the selected criteria.
- Give the filter a name and click on Save.
- Go back to the Permission Template edit page for the Default Caller dashboard. Click on the Add Widget section, and you'll find the "Today's New Leads" widget available. Select the Widget. If you want to change the positioning of widgets, then you can easily drag and switch their places.
- Click on the Save button to apply all dashboard changes.
- Now let's see how this view appears in the Caller login with the saved widgets. We wanted our Caller role to only view their Follow Ups and Today's New Leads for 100% Focus, and that's exactly how they view it.
- The dashboard now shows all the necessary metrics we want our Caller to focus on — and only those. This keeps their view free of distraction and eliminates too much non-mandate data.
And that's your role-specific dashboard set up. Now anyone under this role will open telecrm to a clean, focused view showing only the insights that matter to their work. You can repeat these same steps for any other role — Team Leaders, Managers, Admins, Marketing, Support, or any custom role you've created — so every team member starts their day with the right information in front of them.
